We take on only a few professional redesign projects per year. This helps us maintain balance, while giving our best to every project. This has us on a schedule with a 2-month waitlist, but clients do move things around on occasion, so let us know your timescale, and we’ll see what we can do. It all starts with a project inquiry.

We don’t take anything at face value. Real results are made from so much more than a list of pages or migration of your existing website. Frequently asked questions
Will I lose my search ranking or see a drop in Google traffic with a new website?
- One of the first steps in our process is to audit your existing traffic and rankings. When we work out your website strategy, we’ll keep any existing successes front of mind, to be sure they are mapped carefully to the new site to ensure that your existing Google street cred comes with you.
- Google has its ways, so there are a whole bunch of variables in the way this needs to be handled, all of which also need to be weighed up with the strategic aims for your new website and the re-imagining of your business. We’ll take a microscope to the lot of it and will discuss the options with you to ensure the smoothest transition possible.
- We also permanently have an eye on the future of search and will optimize your website for AI search discoverability.
WordPress? Webflow? Squarespace? What web CMS do you build on?
- We build most of our professional-grade websites on WordPress. Most of the established businesses who work with us have come to a point where they outgrow the entry-level functionality of builders like Squarespace and Wix. Sure, those builders will get you started, but if you’re looking to get real value out of your website and drive traffic through it with your new marketing strategy, then you’ll need a content powerhouse built to make all of that as systematised as possible.
- Established businesses are far more likely to need advanced integrations with a CRM, accounting software and other tools. WordPress is still where it’s at for ultimate flexibility in integrations and automations.
- We’ve played with the newer kids on the block (Webflow, Statamic), but for us, they don’t quite stack up to the functionality and power of WordPress and our framework-based clean code system for optimum performance, user-friendliness, and functionality. We’re always testing new stuff though, so if you’ve come across something that you love the look of, we’ll take a look and see if it does what you need it to. If the tool you like does what you need, we’ll always use the tool fit for purpose for your business.
Are your websites responsive across devices?
Absolutely. Responsive design is a must-have these days and a basic web standard. All of our websites are designed to be responsive across desktop, tablet and mobile devices. We go one step further than the standard web responsive settings, which have 3 ‘breakpoint’ sizes for desktop, tablet, mobile. We go beyond this and use a custom fluid scaling system on all of our websites, which means that everything on your website automagically adjusts to fit perfectly in line with your brand aesthetic and then scales fluidly regardless of the device the site is being viewed on.
Do you provide website copywriting?
Yes! Content is the biggest roadblock to project completion, so we’ve baked website copywriting into our process. We can look after the entire site, or just your most important pages to keep costs down. We can also work with your copywriter if you have one, to ensure all content is provided in a web-ready and SEO-structured format, with all of your website strategy included.
Can you help me migrate content from my old website to my new one?
- We have several pathways to help you move content from your old website to your new one. The key aspect to keep in mind with content migration is maintaining your search rankings, so we develop an action plan around that first and map out exactly where everything needs to go, noting any url changes as we go.
- We can move and style everything on your behalf, or migrate it all and then train you on how to style your repeatable content types (i.e. blog posts). Or we can go for a hybrid option, whereby we import and style enough content for the site to go live looking great, leaving you to do the rest over time.
- We’ll discuss the options with you so you can make an informed decision about the best option for your business and budget.
Can you help me update my legal documents?
- If you haven’t looked at your legal docs in a while, we recommend having a look at your Terms & Conditions (also known as Terms of Service) and a Privacy Policy to be sure your business complies with the Australian Privacy Act or the privacy laws in your jurisdiction.

Can you connect my website with my CRM so new leads are automatically added there?
You bet! In fact, this is a standard part of our clever process for established businesses. We call it ‘tech intelligence’ and connecting all of your systems into a seamless ecosystem creates that shimmering aha moment that we love and thrive on! We have particular experience with HubSpot, Keap, ActiveCampaign and Notion.
Can you help me automate my marketing?
- One aspect of the Tech Intelligence spoke of our Amplify Your Clever Framework is to look at the opportunities for automation within your workflows. We’ll get under the hood and see what you can automate (and advise on what you shouldn’t) and what tech you need to make it happen.
- Lead generation, nurturing or your onboarding process, we have experience automating every stage of the user journey to get a load of manual comms off your desk (increasing capacity!), often without losing the personal touch you want to give your leads.
- We can also be booked for a Clever Day for marketing solutions to get your automations flying.

What will the timeline to launch look like?
Once we have finalised your site strategy, it takes between 6–12 weeks to design and build your website. The time involved will vary depending on the sophistication and complexity of the integrations your site requires to connect it with the rest of your business.
Do you provide support after the site is live?
- We include live training sessions at go-live to get your team up-to-speed on how to use your new site and also provide a range of materials to help you self-manage your website.
- All of our website design packages include 30 days of unlimited ‘ask us anything’ support after the site goes live. We also cover all hosting and license fees until we go live.
- By the time your site is live, we’ll be good mates already. You’ll know we’ve got your back and will be around for any questions you have.
- We don’t build your website and leave you hanging—we’re here for the long haul to build your success. After going live, you will move to a Clever Care plan to cover hosting, licenses, technical updates and the like, and we’ll be around for any quick questions you have.
- We also have a range of on-demand website support options and available to help you out and offer discounts for support retainers should you need them.
Will I be able to easily edit my website and add new content?
Absolutely! We build all of our sites to be editable by you and use intuitive user experience design principles both for your website users, and for you and your team. It goes without saying, that we can’t upload years of website knowledge and experience into your brain (how cool would that be?!); so we’re here to support you for any tasks that fall outside of the skillset of your team.
Do you offer hosting and maintenance?
Yes. All client sites move on to a Clever Care plan after going live. This plan includes the cost of hosting, premium plugins in our tech stack and security and stability updates. We keep all of your plugins up-to-date as part of our daily/weekly/monthly maintenance schedule. These benefits and software savings are available only to Studio Clvr clients.

I’ve been around the block and am an experienced creative director and operations manager. Absolutely! Studio Clvr was started in New York and has been relocated a few times before settling in Sydney, so we’ve collected a diverse range of clients from around the globe. If you need timezone compatibility, clients in Australia, New Zealand, and the US west coast have the best overlap. We have plenty of experience working around timezones and certainly have a lot of clients on the US East Coast who are happy to have a late call to get on Nic’s schedule. So if you’re in a timezone where your day is our night here in Sydney, we’ll ‘automagically’ get stuff done while you’re snoozing.
